"SHE ACTUALLY NURSED AND MOTHERED A STRAY MALE CAT WE FOUND." That comment was left behind with Phoebe by the person who had owned her for the past 6 years, the person who decided to just dump all of the household pets into the shelter because they were "moving." Phoebe is a delightful 10-year-old cat who deserves much better care than she has been getting lately, as can be seen in another comment from her surrender sheet: "NOT SPAYED. HAS SOME SEASONAL DERMATITIS. COMES AND GOES COULD PROBABLY BE TREATED MORE THAN I HAVE LATELY." That person stopped caring for, or about Phoebe a long time ago but it took them until 9/5 to make the thing formal and ditch her into the shelter.
