SHE BECAME MUSLIM TODAY, ALHAMDULLILLAH! Last week on Sunday, I was asked to give a talk at a house in F-11, Islamabad, on the subject of sins & forgiveness. Afterwards, I was introduced to a Christian sister by the hosts, who informed me that she had a few questions that she really needed to ask. Alhamdulillah I sat there for probably an hour, answering them to the best of my abilities and trying to clarify her doubts. In the end I asked the sister: “It seems as if in your heart you are already a Muslim, are you ready to say the shahdah and join the family of over 1.8 billion brothers and sisters around the world?” She said that everything about Islam made perfect sense but still she needed a few days to think over it as she was not sure how her family would react. I agreed and told her that in-sha’Allah in our class the following Sunday we’ll see if she is ready. Today, my dear brothers and sisters, was that Sunday. So after my session at their house this afternoon on the subject of “purpose of life”, the Christian sister finally took her shahadah in front of the whole audience and entered as a Muslimah into the fold of Islam, Alhamdulillah! :) Takbir! Allahu Akbar!! The sister even requested that from now onwards, her name be changed to “Maryam”. Now how beautiful is that? Sincerest jazakum’Allahu khayrn to the hosts who gave their support and provided this amazing opportunity for a soul to embrace Islam. Many brothers and sisters immediately came forward afterwards to help the newly reverted sister with anything that she may need. I mutually decided with the host family that we would have regular tafsir classes in English at their house after Ramadan in-sha’Allah to make it easy for our new sister to learn the deen and to fall in love with the Book of Allah. :) REMINDER: Ramadan is a month where the gates of Jannah are opened and the gates of Hell are closed. Successful are those who seek forgiveness in this month, turn back to their Creator and decide to change themselves.
