"SHE NEEDS NOBODY." But stupid girl, she doesn’t even know it. She still thinks she needs them. Why do you need them? Silly girl, why won’t you open your eyes and see? They are holding you back and you’re holding on to them. You remain silently seated in this masquerade party, not even fully aware that you’re the main event, everyone applauding that puppeteer toying with the strings of your arms, legs and mind, curious at how far he can steer you blind. You let yourself be led in the waltz that is your life while the crowd laughs heartily and wonders in despair why that puppet that’s obviously a fallen queen won’t wipe the absurdity that paints her face as a clown. Wipe it away, stop being the comedy act. Be the horror act. Be the drama, be the reason they even come to the theatre. Be award-winning. Hell, be the award itself. Make them cry. Be so good they can’t tear their eyes off of you. Be the reason behind their subdued voices of awe. And do it for nobody but you. Because remember, you need nobody.
