SHE; a really pretty thing indeed. And, my name also inscribed on her beautiful wings; at once flattering and reassuring...! SHE is the bird which has been designed as a logo for the currently running MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Images) film festival in the neighbourhood - Juhu and the Andheri Link Road area, the newest art district. The entire logo with its windswept wings has been designed with the names of the patrons who came forward to support MAMI - our own highly prestigious Film Festival, after being abandoned by Reliance earlier this year. A festival which has now become an important entry in the diaries of Filmmakers and cine lovers worldwide. Of-course, for me, the incidental discovery that in a small way, my name also figures in the wings of the flying beauty, among the high luminaries of the Indian film industry, is as humbling a realisation, as it is heart warming; even if it was perhaps for my tiny anonymous contribution propelled by the feeling that I owe It to the fraternity which gave me sustenance for so long. That speaks volumes for the people that we all in the film and television industry are. PEOPLE WITH HEART!
