SHEDDING CHANUKAH LIGHT ON A 2000 YEAR OLD INJUSTICE Giulio - TopicsExpress

SHEDDING CHANUKAH LIGHT ON A 2000 YEAR OLD INJUSTICE Giulio Meotti, the highly regarded Italian journalist and great friend and advocate of the Jewish people and the state of Israel, took a stand today on behalf of the Temple Mount, the Holy Temple, freedom loving people everywhere, and the redress of a two thousand year old historical injustice, when he placed and kindled a small seven-branched menorah in front of the Arch of Titus in Rome. Titus was the Roman general who oversaw the destruction of the Holy Temple in the year 70 CE. To commemorate his great victory Titus had a massive arch of triumph constructed in Rome, the capital of the Roman Empire. The bas-reliefs carved into the arch depict captive Jews being forced to carry Holy Temple vessels stolen by the Roman soldiers just before they burned and destroyed the Holy Temple. Being held high above the heads of the captives can be seen the Golden Temple Menorah. The Jews brought to Rome were sold into slavery and the Holy Temple vessels were seized by the Roman Empire. It has long been held that the stolen Temple vessels eventually fell into the hands of the Vatican, where they are being kept to this day. All requests by Jewish historians or researchers or representatives of the state of Israel to be granted access to the vessels have been rejected by the Vatican. Giulio Meottis very powerful statement on behalf of righting the wrong of the destruction and sacking of the Holy Temple was not without response. A policeman on patrol instructed Giulio to extinguish the Chanukia at once. The Temple Institute salutes our dear friend Giulio Meotti, a truly righteous man.
