They gave a veiled threat during the campaign time that electing the duo had dire consequences. Instead they wanted we vote in some two political conmen in the CORDead coalition who were their marrionettes. UHURUTo gave those political conmen a serious thrashing at the ballot box... Then the Kenya govt was able to rally the whole africa behind kenyas quest for defferal.. Even misinformed countries like botswana who had Pro ICC stance & anti Uhuruto rhetoric even hosted President Kenyatta in Botswana full with a military guard of honour. Africa is singing in one voice, just like Muungano Choir of Moi Era... Then the British who had thought uhuru is a pushover are now the ones coming up with the video link proposal. The West has drastically reduced its rhetoric in the face of new realities that Kenya under captainship of younger kenyatta that the Panafrican spirit is still alive & that mass withdrawals by africa nations from the Rome statute was a reality. Thats why the West opted to abstain from voting at UNSC as opposed to voting againist. You see abstaining though some people might argue it means not supporting the idea, in actual sense its not. Abstaining from voting means no comment. Just being a fencesitter without saying Yes or NO . The West preffered to be non commital of saying either Yes or NO. If kenya hadnt rallied the Africa Union the west could have voted affirmative NO and mayb tongue lash Nairobi.. Now Kenyas request has been accepted by state parties of the rome statute. Uhuru will not attend the court sessions in person come february. Then the shocker of the 2013, a few days ago US ambassador Mr Godec & British High Commissioner Mr Turner secretly went to Deputy Rutos residence in Karen to BEG him to speak to the son of Jomo to agree to video link thing.. Yes begging like babies. These are the fellows who early this year told us choices have consequences and minimal contact are now begging like children who want to suckle...
