SHOFARDEVOTION 23-08-2014 #THE SIMPLICITY OF THE GOSPEL [2 Cor 11:3]; But i fear,lest by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Simplicity is the Greek word translated objectively to mean generosity; bountifulness; liberality. It is the place of understanding the liberties in Christ. The subtility that beguiles Eve is the suggestion to her mind that they had a form of limitation; that they were not as Gods[ Gen 3:5]. Paul says that kind of corruption is in the mind. Limitation is in the mind; sickness is in the mind; poverty is in the mind; failure is in the mind. But praise God, we have the mind of Christ! Praise God we have the spirit of God and where he is there is liberty; there is no limitation. In the 4th verse, Paul speaks of men that preach another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit. If they preach you as limited; thats not the Jesus Paul knew. If they preach you as cursed, thats not the Jesus Paul preached. If they preach you as sick, thats not the Jesus Paul preached.
