What an answer to prayers! Today has been such a blessing in so many ways! First, our team received a letter of encouragement from one of our past churches from our first week and their participants wrote us little notes of encouragement. It was such a motivation to our day! Then we also had an evening activity out in Ponemah, with a drum circle, some dancing, frybread, and cultural lesson with some community friends. Not to mention I tried climbing a tree and a rotted branch broke on me and I fell ten feet from the tree onto my back! I got a nice cut and I ripped my pants! Gave some people a good laugh. But the coolest part of my day was going to the Native Threads store and talking to a community member for some time who recently lost his friend to a stabbing. I asked if I could pray for him and he allowed it. After a few minutes I stopped praying and he was really touched by the prayer and thanked me. What a Mighty God we serve! Last night I was praying that Id be able to invest more in the community, and today a had a fully day full of it, from the womens shelter, to the post office, to extended care, to kids club, to the store, to Ponemah. Its definitely become my home.
