***SHOULDER UPDATE*** Unfortunately, my doctors appointment - TopicsExpress

***SHOULDER UPDATE*** Unfortunately, my doctors appointment yesterday did not go as I had hoped it would. It seems as though the calcium deposit has at least doubled in size since the beginning of July. At this moment, my shoulder is frozen, meaning I have very limited range of motion. In three weeks Ill have an MRI that will be able to show how much damage has taken place. When the results are in, the doctor and I will decide when I will have surgery. I have been told that I need open surgery versus arthroscopic. This means a recovery period of 4 to 6 months. Even with the surgery, theres no guarantee that I will not produce more calcium deposits. In light of this new information, I have decided (unless something drastically changes between now and the end of August) that I will need to give up instructing permanently. This is a very hard decision for me to make as Zumba has been the only form of exercise that I have enjoyed doing my entire life!!! Because you, my Zumba peeps, are important to me, I have been searching for instructors to substitute until I can find someone to take over my classes. As soon and I have more information on fitness classes at Rachaels Dance Unlimited, I will post the options here for you. I have met some awesome people through Zumba. I have made not only fitness friends, but personal friends through it. A HUGE thank you to those who have attended my classes faithfully and to those who made a point of coming when their schedule allowed. :) Be calm and Zumba on! Zumba ❤ to you, Lori
