SHOUT OUT: We have a VERY special event happening this weekend. Our Buzzard scout leader, Joe Pearson, is going to the St Georges Parade at Windsor Castle, where he will meet HRH the Duke of Kent, the UK Chief Commissioner Wayne Bulpit and last but not least, Chief Scout Bear Grylls! Joe is one of only 4 recipients in the whole of the UK of the Cornwell Award. This award is given to scouts under the age of 20 and is given in respect of their courage and endurance under extreme conditions. It is named after John Travers Cornwell who received a Victoria Cross in the Battle of Jutland, aged only 15. We are extremely proud of Joe and look forward to sharing some photos of this with you all next week. Well done Joe! Thanks, 1st Calne Scouts
