Email: ask@Shredz Live Chat: www shredzarmy com - INGREDIENTS - ▪️2 cup white whole wheat flour ▪️1 scoop of SHREDZ Cinnamon Bun protein powder ▪️2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder ▪️1/2 teaspoon salt ▪️5 tablespoons applesauce ▪️3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk ▪️1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar ▪️6 tablespoons cane sugar or erythritol, divided ▪️1 tablespoon melted low-fat butter ▪️2 teaspoons ground cinnamon - DIRECTIONS - 1⃣ Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit. Grease an 8-inch pie pan and set aside. - 2⃣ In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry blender, cut the applesauce into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal. Dont have a pastry cutter? No worries. I dont have one either. Just use a fork to cut in to butter and everything will still be a-okay. Chill for ten minutes. - 3⃣ Combine 3 tablespoons cane sugar or erythritol and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside. - 4⃣ After the ten minutes, fetch the bowl from the fridge and add in the unsweetened almond milk, apple cider vinegar, and 3 tablespoons cane sugar or erythritol and stir until combined, making sure not to overwork the dough. If the dough is too dry to incorporate all the flour, add in one more tablespoon of almond milk. Turn out the dough on a clean, lightly floured surface and knead 4 times. Again, make sure not to overwork the dough. - 5⃣ Using a rolling pin (or your hands if youre feeling all rustic like), roll out the dough to a large rectangle of 1/4 inch thickness. Brush the dough with 1 tablespoon melted butter or Earth Balance. Evenly sprinkle the erythritol cinnamon mixture over the dough. Starting with the long side, gently roll the dough up into a log. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 12 equal rolls. Place the rolls into the prepared pie pan and bake in the oven at 400 Fahrenheit for 12 minutes, or until golden. - 6⃣ Let cool and enjoy! ********************************************* I did not use applesauce to make those. I put two organic apples in my Ninja and pureed them. By the time you divide that one scoop of protein between multiple cinnamon rolls then there isnt much protein in these. I actually used two scoops and there still wasnt a considerable amount of protein in them. The recipe called for apple cider vinegar which is commonly used to flush our bodies. Any excuse to consume that is awesome. It is also very low sugar. The actual roll part has just enough sugar to make it taste like a slightly sweet wheat bread. The very tiny amount of butter spread out across the dough before adding sugar and cinnamon to the top of it wont add up to considerable fat either. There was far more cinnamon in the cinnamon and sugar mixture than I would have used had I been making yeast based cinnamon rolls from scratch as I have been known to, but it still tasted fine. Sorry, there is no sugary/buttery glaze nor does it call for my specialty - fresh made caramel glaze. This says protein, and yes there is more protein than you will get out of 98% of the pastries youll ever eat, however this must be viewed as a carb source because it is mostly wheat flour. ***Pictures Below*** Not the prettiest cinnamon rolls Ive ever made, but then again, this wasnt like making a bread dough from scratch and it was, of course, the first time that I had done this. Definitely worth making. If you dont have SHREDZ Cinnamon Bun Protein then you cant make SHREDZ Cinnamon Bun Cinnamon rolls, however, Vanilla whey protein could also work.
