SI Fremantle’s “Welcome Bag” Christmas Challenge As a club project during the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”, SI Fremantle Sisters, family and friends collected essential toiletries, assembled and delivered 94 “Welcome Bags” for women in need. This ongoing project in a small way helps to improve the lives of women who arrive at Women’s Refuges by providing them with a fabric bag filled with basic toiletry needs. This year the “Welcome Bags” were delivered to centres in Fremantle for Wyn Carr and Warrawee Refuges and to The Good Shepherd in Balga. Gifts suitable for women and children were also donated to bring a little Christmas cheer to those in need.
