SINGAPOREAN VALUES, OR BAD VALUES THAT DESTROYS SOCIETIES The police believes they should handcuff children. There are elements in Singapore who believe in treating children as criminals. Do we ask ... 1) Why do 3 children have to steal? 2) Are they the only ones who steal? 3) Is the Singaporean society with 26% below poverty level with social problems? To work hard in Singapore is not good enough. Born in a poor family that earns below sustainable level may not afford necessary finance or support for children. Even if the children work hard and earn some money to help the family may not be sufficient. Singaporeans MUST START to ask questions beyond ourselves and think for others. We have to understand why children have to steal. Why the police do not have a conscience and insist to handcuff children. SINGAPOREANS ARE LIVING IN THE ERA WITHOUT A SOUL. Is this the country we want for our children? We need CHANGE! Not just for a new government with a soul, but also citizens with a soul. A society with a soul will defend these errant children. Create the needed system to help the children and families, and rebuild our broken society. If not, there is nothing worth keeping in Singapore but just dirty money.
