SINGHAM RETURNS Will Cross 139 Cr Nett LifetimeAjay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are back with another potential super hit films. SinghamReturns released in around 4000 screens and that is why film was expected to take a big start. On top of that, film got huge impetus due to Independence Day holiday over weekend. Film had scored decent 2ndweek but big drop in 3rd week.Film defeated the 1st day opening record of Salman Khan starrer Kick which held the top spot in 2014. Film collected close to 32.09 cr nett on day one and that was by far the best opening day of 2014.Film collected huge weekend of 77 cr nett plus and then collected good numbers on weekdays. Film had total of 112 cr nett plus in 7 days. Film was extraordinary in Maharashtra, Mumbai and Gujarat breaking all week one records of Kick, Chennai Express and Dhoom 3.Film had only Mardaani in form of competition in 2nd week but film dropped heavily. Film collected close to 22.35 cr nett in 2nd week which was drop of 80% from week one. This is same pattern as wasthe case with Dabangg 2 and other no so different sequels which failed to meet audience expectations though they survive at box office due to star power, brand name and big festival release.Film faced more reduction in 3rd week and that is why despite not great performances of Raja Natwarlal and Mardaani, film remained below par. Filmcollected 70 lakhs nett on 3rd Friday followed by 80 lakhs nett on 3rd Saturday and 1.10 cr nett on 3rd Sunday. Film has collected 2.60 cr nett over 3rd weekend. Film added 35 lakhs nett on 3rd Monday, 30 lakhs nett on Tuesday and 25 lakhs nett on Wednesday. Film has total of 138.39 crnett in 19 days. Lifetime collection will be in range of Dabangg (141.50 cr nett).Film collected very good 19 cr in overseas.
