SIQUIJORIAN CHAT ASSOCIATION, INC. 3/F Alphaland Mall, Magallanes, Makati City MINUTES OF MEETING Date: January 15, 2015 Venue: Badlons Residence, Caticugan, Siquijor, Siquijor No. of delegates present: 15 persons Time started: 5:00 PM Time ended: 9:45 PM First part of the meeting was the registration/admission started at 5;00 PM and close at 6:30 PM with an open dinner buffet. Second was the meeting proper together with Atty. Edric P. Torremocha, the designated Legal Counsel for Siquijorian Chat Association, Inc. Prayer/Invocation was led by Ms. Judith Jumawan Suan y Manio from Paliton, San Juan, Siquijor. Opening remarks was given by Mr. Manuelito Agan Cortes, the head organizer and founder. Orientation was delivered by Mr. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. details include; the origin of Siquijorian Chat Association, Inc. as a premier online-based charitable institution for Siquijor Province. Organizational logo/emblem, Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives (VMGO). Programs and Services includes proposal for Medical Assistance, Funeral Assistance, Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Program, Psycho-social Support Program, Scholarship and Educational Program to chosen Schools and deserving students. Community Awareness and Development; Coastal Clean-up Activity, Tree Planting and re-parenting, Mountaineering and Trekking for Eco-Tourism. Health and Wellness Projects such as Feeding Program for Malnourished children, Community Health Assessment, Blood-letting and Blood banking. Training and Information Drive Services such as Disease Prevention and Health Awareness Champagne, Basic Precaution and Safety Prevention Training, Disaster Response and Operation Training, Nutrition Education Drive. Green Projects such as Garbage Segregation and Scrap Entrepreneurship as support for Solid Management in the Community. No motion held part in open interaction with the proposal for Programs and Services. After-which was the open testimonies by Ms. Judith Jumawan Suan y. Manio from Paliton, San Juan, Siquijor. Her late mother was then a beneficiary of Siquijorian Chat Association, Inc. They received amounting to P 5000 plus from the OFWs support which she didnt mentioned and even disclosed the name of the person as per request. Said amount was spent for medication of her beloved Mother. She gives thanks to those prominent and generous people as she said and considered a treasure to be apart of Siquijorian Chat Association, Inc. (SCAI) Followed by Mr. Manuelito Agan Cortes who shared the help and assistance for Ms. Imelda Palantang for her antie (PWD). Respondent unable to attend due to the needs for living.Next part was the Election for the first batch of Board of Trustees (BOT). This was facilitated by Atty. Edric P. Torremocha, the Legal Counsel and acting as Election Officer for the Committee on Election. As per advise, there shall be five (5) members of the Board that has to be elected to initiate the documents needed for the registration process to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as Workforce Organization for a charitable missions. Then Mr. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. the host/moderator opened the table for nominations. First nomination was from Ms. Erlinda M. Pusod for Mr. Abelardo Pusod, an Account Specialist from Taytay sa Kauswagan (TSK, Inc.). Second nomination was from Ms. Jane Siason Badlon for Mr. Ian Christian Cariño, a School Principal from Tambisan Elem. School. Third nomination was from Mr. Manuelito Agan Cortes for Mr. Anthony Shelldon Baquilta, a Political Science graduate and Chairman/President for Tribu Walug Mountaineers Club (TWMC) and Siquijor Island Adventures (SIA). Fourth nomination was from Mr. Abelardo Pusod for Hon. Jayson Pactol Dawami, a Brgy. Captain of Caticugan, Siquijor, Siquijor. Fifth nomination was from Mr. Ian Christian Carino for Mr. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr., a Red Cross Volunteer and Lecturer/Disseminator of Siquijor. Sixth nomination was from Mr. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. for Mr. Manuelito Agan Cortes, a Businessman and Entrepreneur from Makati City. Then no nomination follows, the nomination was move closed by Mr. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. and motion seconded by Ms. Avelina M. Olhon. The raising of votes was not done thru hand raising but instead through ballot system as suggested by Mr. Ian Christian Carino and immediatelt advise by Atty. Edric P. Torremocha, the acting Election Officer. The election proceeding was monitored by Atty. Edric p. Torremocha and assisted by by his personal Secretary. Secrecy and confidentiality was strictly implemented and election results as follows: 1. Manuelito Agan Cortes with 14 votes out of 15 2. Anthony Shelldon Baquilta with 12 votes out of 15 3. Ian Christian Carino with 11 votes out of 15 4. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. with 11 votes out of 15 5. Abelardo M. Pusod with 8 votes out of 15 6. Jayson Pactol Dawami with 7 votes out of 15 So by declared Atty. Edric P. Torremocha; first five (5) Board of Trustees (BOT); Hon. Manuelito Agan Cortes, Hon. Anthony Shelldon Baquilta, Hon. Ian Christian Carino, Hon. Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. Hon. Abelardo M. Pusod as the official winners. Details on voting procedure; each member/delegates as the voting power shall vote/elect at most five(5) out of six (6) nominees. Any member who will vote beyond five (5) nominees shall be considered as invalid votes. Each candidate shall presume as self-voter. After the declaration of winners, Atty. Edric P. Torremocha, the acting Election Officer suggested that Hon. Jayson Pactol Dawami shall be considered automatic nominee for the second batch BOT election and thereby approved by the majority. After-which was the second set of the election process the five (5) newly elected BOT Officers running again for the five BOT position slots namely: President/CEO, Board Secretary, Treasurer and 2 BOT members. After the BOT exclusive election, Atty. Edric P. Torremocha declared winners as follows: President/Chief Executive Officer: Manuelito Agan Cortes. Board Scretary; Eugenio L. Angot, Jr. Treasurer: Abelardo M. Pusod. BOT Members: Ian Christian Carino. Anthony Shelldon Baquilta After the declaration of winners, each BOT Officers delivered their speech in front of the delegates. Then snack was served while Atty. Edric P.
