SITTING ON THE RIGHT HAND Did you know that King David was a prophet? Psalms 110:1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD= God/Jehovah/Yahweh/The Father my Lord= Jesus Christ So we know that Jesus was to sit at the right hand. This is a figure of speech meaning “power” (Matthew 26:64, Mark 14:62, Luke 22:69) and not the literal right hand of God, as God is an omnipresent spirit and does not have a physical hand. Act 2:30 Therefore [David] being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; The Scriptures go on to say that God raised up Jesus (verse 32) and also made Jesus “both Lord and Christ” (verse 36). What is really interesting is right here: Act 2:33 Therefore [Jesus] being by the RIGHT HAND OF GOD exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Jesus is on the Right Hand! Acts 7:56 And said, Behold, I [Stephen] see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the RIGHT HAND OF GOD. MORE IF INTERESTED: (Romans 8:34, Ephesians 1:20, Colossians 3:1, Hebrews 1:3, 1:13, 8:1, 10:12, 12:2, 1Peter 3:22) ~I encourage you to read all of these~ ALL, and I mean EVERY single one of the 9 verses in that list, of the above scriptures talks about Jesus being seated on the Right Hand. It is obvious that King David’s prophecy of Jesus Sitting on the Right Hand of Power/God has been fulfilled. Some people say that Jesus cannot be ruling because there are still enemies and death. Psalms 110:2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 For he [Jesus] must reign [on the right hand!], till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Both of these verses state that Jesus is ruling while there are still enemies, and the final adversary will be death. I have heard preachers say that said Jesus is on the throne, and we sort of jump up and shout woohoo about it. But, really… JESUS IS ON THE THRONE! He really is! King Jesus means exactly what it purports!
