SKIMS employee invents machine It will help patients: Director SKIMS Srinagar, July 26 :In a significant achievement an employee of Bio Engineering Wing of Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura has invented a machine which can be used for measuring blood pressure, sugar level in human body at a low cost. It can also detect the heart beat of baby in womb of a mother. Director SKIMS, Dr Showkat Ali Zargar has congratulated the employee Sagir Ahmad Wani and said that such inventions can boost the research field of SKIMS. The Director has given a cash reward of Rs 20 thousand to Wani for his achievement. According to KNS Wani invented the machine under the supervision of Dr Zargar, Dean Medical Faculty Dr Kursheed Iqbal, Hod CVT, Dr G N Lone and Dr Sunawallah Kuchay Hod Radiation Oncology SMHS hospital. Wani had recently presented this machine in the auditorium of SKIMS where the function was organized and all the senior doctors of the institute were present on the occasion. On the occasion senior doctors of the SKIMS said, that the machine will be very beneficial for the ailing people and the research will become easy with the help of this machine.
