SNOW RISK: Some uncertainty about the forecast for St Stevens Day. Skies will start clouding up overnight and Friday will be generally dull. An area of rain will reach the area around lunchtime and continue through to early evening. With temperatures only reaching 3C, there is a risk of this rain turning to snow. A simple drop of a degree or two would mean heavy snowfall, so this really is a nowcast occasion. My guy feeling is that we will see snow above 250m, but anything below this should be temporary in nature. Also be careful on the roads overnight as ice will form on some surfaces.
