SNRC Run #73 Last run of the summer! (ho-hum.) Time to get together at the Short North branch of the Columbus Running Company for a great trail that includes a beer check! Brooks (the running shoe company) will have a representative on site, and you will have a chance to do a test run in their shoes. If you haven’t done one of these before, it is an opportunity to run a 4-5 mile course in a pair of new Brooks running shoes with the option to buy (or not) afterwards. This is a great chance to get to test your next set of running shoes! After the run, we’ll be headed over to Bar 23 to do some over-freeway drinking. What: Short North Running Club Run #73 When: Thursday, August 28, 2014. Meet at 6:30 PM, run starts at 6:45 sharp. Where: Start: Columbus Running Company, 765 N. High St. Columbus After-run Bar: Bar 23, 584 N. High St. Columbus Why: New shoes, cold beer, and great company! Parking: Street parking is often available around Goodale park. For easier parking, get there about 10 minutes early and park west of Neil Ave. What to bring: Come dressed to run. You can leave bags and personal items at the CRC store while we run. Light-colored or reflective clothing is always a good idea! Bring ID and money/credit card for the bar. Details: 4-5 mile long run on a marked trail. We will try to arrange for a short-cut if you want to run a shorter distance. A-A (start and finish at same place) Not weather dependent- we will run rain or shine. After finishing the run, group members can hit the bar for a few drinks and great company. Weather: Warm and sunny- upper-70’s at run time. Specials: $1 domestic bottles and $5 specialty martinis until 9 PM. Announcements: 1. Haven’t organized a trail yet? Volunteer! We’re looking for members to set future trails.
