SNS KASHMIR The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has issued bailable warrants against deputy commissioner Kupwara for violating court orders. Pronouncing the direction, Justice Ali Muhammad Magray directed the IGP Kashmir to execute the warrants and secure the presence of deputy commissioner Itrat Hussain Rafique. The warrant was issued after Rafique failed to implement court orders directing not to interfere in the peaceful possession of a piece of land by the land owners in Kupwara. However, the deputy commissioner failed to file a compliance report or implement orders in its letter and spirit. “Neither compliance filed nor anybody appeared on behalf of deputy commissioner leaving no option but to secure the presence of respondent deputy commissioner by coercive method,” observed the court orders while hearing the contempt petition filed by Nazeer Ahmad and others against Itrat Rafique. The court has issued bailable warrants in the amount of Rs 20,000 and directed the IG Kashmir to execute the warrant and secure the presence of the deputy commissioner on next hearing on July 7 SRINAGAR July2: JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik Wednesday revealed that eminent economist Dr Haseeb Drabu who a day before joined PDP and former vice Chancellor IUST Sadiq Wahid were once the workers of JKLF and both were advocating separatism. Malik named a number of unionists who according to him “used the resistance movement as a launching pad for their political career.” Commenting upon the recent news of economist Doctor Haseeb Drabu joining PDP JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik revealed that Drabu and former vice Chancellor UST Sadiq Wahid were once the workers of JKLF. “Drabu has chosen the path of betrayal and has joined the group of those conscience selling people who used resistance movement as a launching pad to satisfy and achieve their selfish goals.” “In 1996 I met an old man at airport who introduced his son Sideeq Wahid to me and said that he has dedicated his son for freedom movement. After few days Sideeq Wahid who during those days was running a travel guide agency in Delhi came with another person doctor Haseeb Drabu. They came to Hurriyat office in Delhi in an auto rickshaw to meet me. Doctor Drabu talked for hours and during his conversation said that whenever he is in Bombay he visits the ancestral house of Quid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and bows his head in respect for his wisdom about Hindu mind set. Doctor Drabu insisted that separation from this mentality and mindset was necessary,” Malik said. “Sideeq Wahid sold his Conscience for an army chair at Jammu University and was rewarded the vice chancellor ship of Islamic university Awantipora. Doctor Drabu was awarded with the chairmanship of JK bank and hence both these renounced the resistance movement for their pity selfish gains,” Malik said and added “History of Jammu Kashmir right from 1947 bears a witness to this fact that many people (Conscience sellers) used resistance movement as a launching pad and after assuming importance landed in the lap of India for achieving their pity selfish interests.” “Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Bakhshi Ghulam Mohammad, Ghulam Mohammad Sadiq, Mir Qasim, mufti Mohammad Saeed, Farooq Abdullah, Gul Shah and many more are a glaring example of this betrayal, Malik said. “In 1988 after the peoples revolution started, selfish people changed their colours and joined the rows of freedom movement but finally fall in the lap of India using the resistance movement as a launching pad. Among these Abdul Majeed Mir ( ex MLA Shangus),Gani Naseem (ex Mla khansahib), Ishtiyaaq Qadri, Junaid Matoo,Abdul Majeed Matoo(joined national conference), Mohammad Yaqoob Wakil( joined congress), Altaf Ahmad Bukhari, Raof Bhat( Hizb ul Mujahideen) ,Syed Mohammad Husain, Pir Mansoor, advocate Abdul Haq, Nizam ud Din Bhat, Saif ud Din Shutroo, Muntazir Mohi uddin, Khurshid Aalam, Mohi ud din Sofi, Yasir Reshi, Mushtaq Ahmad ( MLA Tral) (joined PDP )and Imran Rahi and hundreds others who names cannot be written in this small press release, are few who travelled through the lanes of resistance to reach their selfish goals in pro-Indian politics,” Malik said. He said that time has come when Kashmiri nation should to identity and learn about the real faces of these double faced people , who by becoming political renegades (Kuka Parray’s) have and are hell bent upon damaging the resistance movement of Kashmiris. Malik said that on one hand these people have betrayed this nation openly and on other hand these people using their pens and speeches are trying to undermine the freedom movement and prove resistance movement nourished by Lakhs of Kashmiris as incompetent and Useless. “In 1995 Indian state used renegade Kuka Parray and his brigade of terrorists to finish the resistance movement. They kille d thousands but failed to achieve the goal .Now India is using these people to get the job done. To finish and weaken our sacred freedom struggle, these people are acting like refined Kuka Parray’s (Political Renegades),” Malik said. He said, “the nation of Kashmir is slowly and stead PDP nurturing corruption: Omar Abdullah Budgam: Chief Minister and Working President National Conference, Omar Abdullah Wednesday asked the people to teach a befitting lesson to the ‘amalgam of opportunists’ hatching conspiracy against the State and its people to grab power. “They have converged yet again to confuse the people by unleashing false and baseless propaganda against National Conference and the Government to attempt at power grabbing”, he said and added that people are well-versed to read between the lines and understand the only agenda of these elements to seek power at any cost. Addressing National Conference Workers meetings in Khan Sahib, Budgam and other areas today, Omar Abdullah said that falsehood is always short lived and it cannot defeat the sincerity and truthfulness. Leopard kills a boy in Kupwara Srinagar: A boy was killed when a Leopard attacked him at Lalpora area of Kupwara District last evening, a police statement said. Statement said a leopard attacked a boy of Deewar, Kakerpati, Lalpora. The boy died in the attack. Meanwhile, Srinagar police Wednesday recovered a male body from river Jehlum, a police statement said. Shergari police recovered a male body from river Jehlum near Goni Khan. zarb-i-Azb update Islamabad: Pakistani military helicopters shelled militant hideouts in the country’s restive northwest on Wednesday as part of a massive ongoing offensive against the militants, killing 10 insurgents, reports said. Pak Army helicopters pounded militants compounds in the Khar Warsak area, 12 kilometres north of Miramshah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal region. Reports said, nearly 500,000 people have fled the offensive in North Waziristan, which is aimed at wiping out longstanding militant strongholds in the area, which borders Afghanistan. Tens of thousands of families have left for the town of Bannu, close to North Waziristan, while hundreds more have moved further afield to the towns of Lakki Marwat, Karak and Dera Ismail Khan since the Operation Zarb-i-Azb began in mid-June.
