SOCCER RANT: Typically we have had 2 practices (only 1 hr) a week (most of the kids would be fine to practice a little longer - but for some reason they are only allowed 1 hr to practice) and Saturday morning games with an occasional night game. Seemed to work just fine. Well, this season it seems we have 4 Tuesday night games (this is a night we would normally practice) so for 4 weeks our kids will only get 1 practice, 2 Monday night games - meaning we will be up there 3 nights a week for 2 weeks (hope there isnt a lot of homework those weeks) and 1 Saturday game at 1:00 PM. What happened to our 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 9:00 am or 10:00 am Saturday morning games? These were wonderful - we could go up, watch soccer in the morning and then have the rest of Saturday to enjoy! Im sure who ever is making up these schedules is doing the best they can, but dang! Two seasons without Drew Peterson and I STILL MISS HIM (as do A LOT of other parents/players). City of Prattville, Alabama Government Parks & Recs Soccer is not the same, and in my humble opinion not as well managed.
