SOCIALISTIC DEMOCRATIC PARTY Ujjwal jammu 30/6/13 Population of Jammu suffering from water and electricity crises: SDP Protest demonstration held by SDP leaders and workers Socialistic Democratic Party today held a protest demonstration against acute water and electricity crises in Jammu amid scorching heat. SDP General Secretary Ajay Kumar led the demonstration while SDP leaders Provincial President Deepu Ranotra, SDP Youth President Gursagar Singh and other leaders including Subhash Baba, Kamaljeet Singh, J L Chopra, Vishal Chowdhry, Sachin Jamwal, Balvinder Singh Charak, Banarsi Lal, Girdhari Lal and other were present. SDP leaders raised slogans against the failure of the government to ensure sufficient water and electricity supplies to Jammuites in the summer months. “Both these departments have failed to deliver and the Chief Engineers of these departments should either ensure sufficient supply to the people or they should resign taking moral responsibility,” said Deepu Ranotra while addressing the press on the occasion. SDP General Secretary Ajay Kumar criticized the state government of discriminating with the people of Jammu and said that this government has taken the people of Jammu far granted. “We are peaceful people and this quality makes us suffer as this government has become habitual of listening to violence and the language of anti-nationals only,” said SDP Provincial President. SDP demonstrators carried empty pots and fused electric bulbs along to express their anguish on the issue. Later they broke those vessels and lamps to register their protest in their own novel way.
