SOME TIMES I wrote this in 2012. Its a Smokey Robinson-style love song. A lot of its charm derives from the two vocals in harmony that run throughout. It would be a lesser song without that harmony. This song is interesting in that the chorus acts like the verse. I normally like to keep a well-defined shape to the bass guitar so it can be heard without infecting the other instruments with mush. In this case, some mushy EQ wound up on the bass by accident and it added immensely to the sound. This song has a great family of melodies: the chorus verse and outro are all related while being distinctively themselves.
