SOMEDAY, WE ARE GOING BACK HOME... A friend shared with me a while back that while she was away from the country, she made sure that whatever she got for herself while she was there were things that she would be able to use when she got back to Nigeria. At the back of her mind, she knew that she was coming back home eventually hence, she got herself things that would be of benefit to her when she finally goes back home. In the same vein brethren, as children of the Most High God, this earth is not our home, we are sojourners and pilgrims passing through...Hence, we are to invest our time, energy, money, resources etc on those things that would build for us treasures in Heaven (our Home). Matthew 6:19-21 says “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (NIV). Dear believers, let us continually focus on things that are of eternal value and build treasures for ourselves in heaven because someday, in the nearest future, we are going back Home... Shalom!!!
