SOMETHING TO PONDER BE A BLESSING Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tender-hearted, be courteous (humble); not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling (insult), but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. (1 Peter 3:8,9) NKJV Today people are so busy going about their business that they forget about those who are closest to them, like family, friends and those in the church. Theres so much of bickering against one another and people are caught up in their own selfish ambition. The Bible calls us to live in unity and harmony one with the other in love. We must be of: 1. One mind - united 2. Compassionate - feel for the next person 3. Exercise love - love overlooks shortfalls in others. 4. Be tender-hearted 5. Humble - not boastful Always bless those who insult you. Jesus said, But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. (Luke 6:27,28) NKJV We are called to be a blessing, first to the house of faith then outside. What are we doing with one another? We must be builders and not breakers. We must be bearers of light and not darkness. We must be carriers of love and not hate. We must be peacemakers and not troublemakers. Are you being a blessing to someone or a curse?
