If there are any rescues out there that want to ** Give Shaka a #Chance **, and have her evaluated by an outside trainer/behaviorist, please contact the AC&C now.** She is out of time** On December 27th, Shaka was surrendered to the NYC AC&C due to personal problems. She was a volunteer favorite, had excellent owner surrender notes, and earned an average home rating from the shelter. 2 weeks later, she was adopted and we all wished her well. On March 10th, Shaka was returned to the AC&C as a DOH HOLD. Her owner stated that she bit someone. Shakas DOH hold has now expired, and she is in danger of being killed at any moment. As you know, DOH holds do not appear on the list unless the DOH releases a dog for rescue. It seems that wont happen in Shakas case.
