SOUL MEDIC CREW PROFILE Soul Medic is a group of DJs/Producers/ that is aimed at making sure that your mind that swim the empty boring space of senseless beats if filled with sweet melodies that will keep you grooving and fading your shoe sole as you crack the earth with your dancing moves as well as keeping your mind at ease giving you the good MEDICine for your SOUL they keep perfect quality beats and vocals jazzing your body and keeping you hypnotised with as they fill you mind bowels with good music. Soul Medic does music, live music and play music. The future for the troika is when Good music dominates not only in Botswana but in entire universe. Tswanamedic (Tswaan da medic), DJ Fedbula, Floeyjoulz Santana are the co-founders of the Soul Medic trio. They are all in their early twenties and they live in the city of Gaborone but their roots are from different parts of the country. The first time they met was in 2011 at High School, and they shared the love for house music (with influence of jazz, soul and funky), which is on the basis of their successful friendship. Tswanamedic started to use pc-programs to compose music and Floeyjoulz and Feddie with his major experience gave him a good support with suggestions and tricks. Step by step they shared their ideas about music and sounds in such a useful way that new worthy music sounds out giving birth to the challenging project of the Soul Medic Crew. United as they are they never let the end of High school to separate them as they continued to hypnotise in best clubs and love spaces around the city leaving the empty spaces of the city filled withmusic. 2012 came as a year of the rise of Soul Medic in which they continued to grow and showing sympathy by working with a lot of upcoming projects of giving back to the community among them being the Re Mmogo charitable organisation, which is well known country wide to be a group of youth artist who care about their community by raising awareness in issues that affecting youth, they worked together with Re Mmogo Organisation on the Toy Ride event in which its aim was to raise money to buy Less fortunate kids toys as presents for Christmas. Time passed and things changed but united as they were kept them going on and linking with other passionate DJs jamming countless gigs and sessions where they received much love from people who later crowded their fan base. At the moment Soul Medic is working hard timelessly on initiatives which are game changing the industry as well improving ground root talent by getting residency in pubs and lounges around the city where they help future upcoming DJs to achieve their dreams and practicing the craft freely, and as a result 2013 came as a year when the group teamed with YDJ Botswana which is a movement that is working very hard to build the first everProfessionals DJ academy in Botswana where anyone with passion for the craft can go learn and hence improving the quality and standards of Botswana DJs by equipping them with education about the skill and industry of Dj-ing. Soul Medic has also made a pledge to help community projects especially those which involve the youth at large. ABOUT THE SOUL MEDIC DJs Tswanamedic [Tswaan Da Medic] He became a DJ in back in 2005 while at primary school where he will play in talent shows and mix mini compilations which were usually stolen by his Friends as they enjoyed them, some were borrowed and were never returned, which really showed he was on point. His journey for DEEP HOUSE was influenced by his Uncles bestfriend DJ Flex who used to visit their house and groove nothing DEEPHOUSE ,FUNK and JAZZ records. It was though the love of Music that led Tswanamedic to walk to school every day as he usually spent all his pocket and transport money on buying different Housecompilations. He started attracting followers at school as most students will surround him during lunch time for a mini session which they usually called ‘’lunch for your soul`` where they will share different exclusive House jams and clasping and talking music. He regards his music as of no shallow d- urbanists who cracks the dance floor with their athletic gorilla moves’’ but for easy earth organisms who enjoy opening their minds and letting music hypnotise them as it grooves them in an extraordinary way. It was after High School where he met with Dzzious Christ [Gabz FM DJ] & Resident DJ of Café Khwest who showed him the path and introduced him to more Good music sessions. Tswanamedic also known as the Husband to DEEPHOUSE continued being the talk of town, as he continued introducing Good Music to the ears of people .Tswaan damedic has recently added production to his music career and he will soon release tracks and EPs on music network sites across the world. His style of production is influenced by the likes of Neo Soul Keys,StrictlyJazunit,Sophisticado, Johnny Montana, Chymamusique, Vuky J ,Trancemicsoul, FrankyFeliciano,FabioGenitoDue,Davidospina ,Tatoo,Zulus @ Work, just to mention a few. He has played along Botswana`s best heavyweights in best clubs and lounges across the country.He also played in Big lounges and cafés in SA among them being Café Pozi in Soweto where he got to tag with House music legends among the being Ralf Gum of GOGO Music. Tswanamedic is versatile and does not constraint himself to one sub genre of electronic music, though his preference is deep, tech house, soulful and funky house music, he also experiments with Nu-Jazz, Broken beat, downtempo and Dub step. His love and good taste for music has created many great opportunities for him, putting him on stages and line-ups with some of the best acts that Botswana has to offer, the likes of DjSpinz (House junkies/DumaFM), Fondo Fire Otis Frazer(Gabz FM) , Dzzious Christ(3453deepsouls/Gabz FM) ,Dj Oats , Dj Stomps (house Junkies) DJ Lenty and many more. DJ FEDBULA Fedbula started to learn the art of mixing in 2010 after being influenced by his fellow classmate Tswanamedic back at school. After a few years he began to spinning the records for friends during students party, and then for some disco-pubs in Gaborone.. At the middle of 2011 he began to assemble himself teaming up with Tswanamedic and Floeyjoulz forming the killer movement Soul Medic as they always shared the love for music at high school from making and distributing mixes around the school and getting some love from fans who were always eager to hear them and their first ever performance as a crew was during the celebration of June 16 day back in 2011 and they never looked back they continued dominating all the events in school and whenever there was an event at school they were always invited to come and entertain with their amazing record spinning tricks. At the end of High School he continued embracing and lighting up the City with good music .he has played in big clubs and love spaces around GC,where he left the crowd amazed and hypnotised. His Style for music is constrained at keeping people cracking the earth with their dance moves and grooving their souls as well. Committed as he is he is giving it allto build the movement that is aimed at changing the Deejaying Game in Botswana to a higher level FLOEYJOULZ SANTANA He grew up playing around with his parents blaunkt radio with a record player(turn table)at the age of 3.His passion for house music grew in 2010,coutesy of the album Home Brewed, by the legend BLACKCOFFEE!ever since then, he has never looked back and he continued to learn the art of house music and Dejaying. To test if he was on the right track, he recorded his mixes and gave them to his friends of which he received over positive feedback. He continued to feed himself with knowledge of the music and deejaying until he finally went official in 2011 with his partners in crime, DJ Fedbula and Tswaan da medic. They have since kidnaped Gabz City in hypnotism and Floeyjoulz Santana has recently enjoyed some magnificent fame due to being viewed as the best upcoming DJ by Phobouy on Yaronafm!
