SPAMALOT—the musical lovingly ripped off from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”—will be performed at Lakeland College this weekend: Thursday-Saturday (March 27-29) at 7:30 with a Sunday matinee, March 30th at 2:00 in the Bradley Theatre. For tickets, call Deb at 920-565-1536 or visit Lakeland.edu/theatre. We are inviting the audience to say all the famous lines along with the actors, such as “We are the Knights who say Ni,” “Bring out yer dead,” “I’m not dead,” and “It’s just a flesh wound.” The show is almost sensory overload with the Trojan Rabbit, the Killer Rabbit, flatulent French guards, catapulting cows, the holy hand grenade, and Tim the Enchanter. We’ll be selling coconuts halves in the lobby so you can “ride horses” with King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. On Friday and Saturday nights, there will be a bar in the lobby. I’m so proud of all the student performers, musicians, and technicians, who have worked like crazy for nine weeks; they really shine! My colleagues at Lakeland have done a remarkable job as well and it’s been my honor to work with Chris Werner, Becky Haen, Jessica Mueller, and Della Jahnke. youtube/watch?v=En9Tc-ZP22o&feature=player_embedded
