SPANKY Surrendered to our care with his brother Zeus (A0990427), Spanky is scared, hugging the back wall of his kennel, not sure that he wants to venture out into this strange new world. With some coaxing he finally takes courage in hand and steps out, but is ready to crawl under anything that he can find. With his brother Zeus by his side, he is braver, walking with him, looking up to him and staying close. Both Spanky and Zeus are clearly used to furniture, as both climbed up on the park bench to cuddle on a blanket, Spanky making himself as small as possible, happy to have Zeus by his side. From time to time he would use his paw to touch Zeus, as if reassuring himself that Zeus was still there. They walk well together, side by side, looking at each other to make sure the other is OK. Spanky allows some petting at this time, but is clearly not comfortable with the changes in his life. Were told that, like Zeus, he is crate trained, housetrained, gets along with kids and all people, likes to play and knows some commands. As of this writing, Spanky is simply trying to figure it all out, and we are giving him the space he needs to be comfortable... Both he and Zeus have been beautifully cared for and are hoping to find a home together. When you meet them you will be moved by their love for each other, as I was. *** Please meet him and give him a chance!
