Flight SG 120 Mum Del on 8th Nov 2014 , 5 secs short of being airborne , aborted the take off [ there was a sound of the craft striking something on the runway ], to the passengers horror .The immediate announcement attributed this to a technical problem in the runway , and that it would take off in another 20 mins [ whereas I know that an aborted take off requires all the tyres to be replaced ,probably not known to the Spicejet Capt who was announcing] which would take much longer time than 20 mins . The next announcement was that there was a fault in the aircraft and that it would be rectified in another 20 mins before a take off . In the next 20 minutes came the next announcement that the craft had to be abandoned , and another craft would fly the passengers to Delhi .It took 3hrs for this change , and all the Carrier did was to provide a glass of water to its passengers . Its really dangerous to fly this airline due its gross negligence in practicing safety norms . I am also surprised by the enforcement agencies who could be so irresponsible .
