Sadly, most people do not run their lives according to the principle of the Bible. But everyone use words. Whether it is used intelligently and knowledgeably is a different matter; whether you are using it for yourself or against yourself is a different matter. The purpose of this subject is to help you know what effect words have on you and how to use your word for your own good. You don’t do anything without saying it out. For example saying “I’m going to fellowship now”. Your words determine your direction, when you want to leave, you say it in your mind, then you decide and you get up to take your leave. So, we know that words control us but we don’t recognize what those words do when we speak them. What we are dealing with now is so that you can now intelligently harness the power of your confession. As a human being, you are given the power to speak and we all use that power in some way or another –for our good or for our hurt. Only God knows how many words that each one person speaks per day. I think you should do a check up to find out how many words you use per day. And then find out how many of those words are positive. You need to build your words on the truth of the word of God. The vocabulary and diction of the word is the highest and best source to take your words from. The most dominating words that everybody can speak on this planet are the words that God himself has said. You can’t go wrong; you can’t tell lies saying what God has said even if what God has said is contrary to what you are seeing. What God has said will dominate and eventually change what you are seeing. PRAYER: Lord I receive grace to speak right and confess your word. Help me to become a word addict and live for you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
