For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:7,8 NIV Some engage freely with godless myths and old wives tales; do not emulate them or so engage! Physical exercise has some value; however, spiritual exercise has value in all ways and for all things! I would naturally choose the more profitable; which would you choose? Hmmm! I want Eternal Life in Christ Jesus!!! Be above reproach as Gods steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict. Titus 1:7-9 NASB Every believer ought to be as a servant of God; and be above reproach, not worldly as listed above! Rather, manifesting the positive attributes again as listed accordingly, holding fast to the faithful Word which is in accordance with Godly Teaching. This ought to be the case; and such as to enable the believer servant of God to teach and promote sound doctrine, whilst refuting anything contradicting the faithful Word of the Living Word!!! Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV Jesus Christ so loved the Church and Gave Himself for the Church in order to make the Church holy through Cleansing with water by the Word. This is to Present the Church to Himself gloriously, without blemish, but holy! This is the way a man (husband) ought to love his wife! Marriage is so very important to God and is the only institution in life that God likens to His Relationship with His Church! He Said in His Word that the institution of marriage must be honoured/revered by all and the marriage bed kept pure and holy! Heed the Word of God or perish. Period!!! Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Matthew 5:17-18 (NIVUK) Jesus Christ Said He did not come to abolish, but rather to fulfill the Law and Prophets; and that not one of the words therein will disappear until all is accomplished! So I wonder why people readily claim that we are now in a new dispensation as in New Testament and discard the Old Testament and claim everything is now under Grace when God did not say so! This is the Word of God! Discard the Word of God at your own peril!!! (22) How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. Proverbs 1:22 For how long will you remain foolish and love being simple? The Bible says that a fool says in his heart that there is no God! They who engage in scornful and wicked behaviour delight in their works and the foolish continue to hate knowledge (especially of God)! Thank You Lord Jesus for Your Divine Wisdom.
