SPIRITUAL GROWTH. I believe in spiritual growth, but in a sense that is radically different from what we all have been taught. ************* HOW?*********** First of all, the spirit of a christian doesnt grow or improve. It has everything that it can ever have. It has divine health, love, peace, humility, joy, the mighty power that raised Christ from the death, etc. It is already COMPLETE. Complete means COMPLETE, FULL. Lets see this, For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (Colossians 2:9-10). We are also perfected in our spirits.For by one offering he hath PERFECTED forever them that are sanctified. (Hebrews 10:14). Not just COMPLETE and PERFECTED, our spirits have been SEALED. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (Ephesians 1:13). Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (2 Corinthians 1:22). This is radical! Its in this order, COMPLETE> PERFECTED> SEALED. Glory! This spirit of a believer doesnt grow or get improved. WHAT THEN IS SPIRITUAL GROWTH? Spiritual growth is the measure of the ability of your soul(mind) to cooperate with your spirit. The bible says that we have the mind of Christ in our spirits. Now, our natural minds(souls) have to align with the mind of Christ which is in our spirits. THIS IS SPIRITUAL GROWTH. The fruit of the Spirit is already complete in our spirits. We dont need to pray for more love, more peace, more anointing, more healing(health), etc. They are all complete in our spirits. All we need to do is to get our minds renewed through studying and meditating on Gods Word, so that our minds will be able to cooperate with our spirits. The problem is this, our minds know something different from what the mind of Christ in our spirits know. This is DOUBLE MINDEDNESS. The goal of meditation is to get to a place of SINGLE MINDEDNESS, where our natural minds now know and agree with what our spirits already have and knows. I JUST PRAY THIS WILL BE CLEAR ENOUGH. The degree at which we see the physical manifestations of what we have in our spirits is dependent on how much renewed our minds are. This I believe, is the true meaning of spiritual growth. Fasting, constant studies, meditation, prayer(especially tongues), fellowship, etc, help us to get our souls or minds to cooperate with our real man- the spirit. Finally, your personality which is all that people can perceive about you is the function of your soul. Our personalities is the indicator or the degree at which our souls(mind) align with our spirits. This includes, love, hatred, bitterness, kindness, temper, peace, boldness, etc Everything that exudes from us is a sign of how renewed our minds are. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
