SPSF Summer Sizzler Challenge has arrived! For the next 2 days current and former scholarship recipients are raising money for SPSF. The goal is for participants to ask 25 people for $25 in 24 hours. Here is a blurb from one of our current recipients, Suzan Blair: "In just 5 weeks, I will be Suzan M. Blair, BSN, RN! I have been very fortunate to have had the support from The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Pulaski County. Through that gift I was given so much more than financial support.... I was able to network with some wonderful people in my area and have made some lifelong friends. This program is self-supported by generous people who have the common goal of helping to bring single-parents and their children out of poverty. On Thursday, June 27th I will be participating in the SPSF Summer Sizzle fundraising event. This event will help another single parent transform their life--- just as I have. My goal is to collect $25 from 25 people in 24 hours. Of course, I would be thrilled with more than 25 people and more than $25 from each one! I know that we are all skeptical of charities, but this is an organization that you can trust will have a profoundly positive impact --- right here in our own county.
