SSB Topshelf set the tone for the A2 grand final on Saturday, using their defensive measures and accurate shooting to take the lead against Redmen Aussie Hotel. Redmen fought their way back into the competition with the defensive skills of Danielle Mackie and great positional play from Michelle Call, closing the score gap in order to only be one point down at the end of the first half. The attacking efforts of shooter Payton Slis aided in leading SSB back to a confident lead, keeping up their energy and hunger for the ball as the competition intensified and eventually took the game 32-29.
