STARTLED: The person in front of you on the 210 Freeway slams on their breaks, for no obvious reason. FRIGHTENED: Rubber smoke from your tires fills the atmosphere as you slide-skid down the freeway in hopes you dont hit the (alleged) idiot without a conscience... again, alleged. TERRIFIED: You watch as the car directly behind mirrors your exact moves down the asphalt, uncertain if their hood may be your tails demise. CRAP YOUR DRAWERS HORRIFIED: The car behind you is a black and white patrol with uniformed officer behind the wheel. FULL BODY ANXIETY LET DOWN: You shake your way over to the 605 interchange in one piece and without citation because the patrol is a Sherriff and holds no jurisdiction on the highway. LESSON: None. If I was driving too close, I would have hit the car in front of me. If the Sherriff had hit me in the natural order of disaster, he should probably back me up that NEITHER OF US were following too close behind. Givens final words: Its not like he arrested you, Mom.
