STATEMENT ON DEATH OF COUNTRY FIRE SERVICE VOLUNTEER Tuesday 9 December 2014 We are extremely saddened to confirm the death of CFS volunteer Brian Johnston who was fatally injured while attending a fire in RENDELSHAM today, in the state’s South-East. Mr Johnston was standing at the rear of his response vehicle when he was struck by another fire appliance that was attending the incident. This terrible tragedy is impacting the entire CFS family and is being felt by our colleagues in fire agencies within Australia, and around the world. We extend our sincerest condolences to Brian’s family and friends during this difficult time, and our thoughts are with Brian’s local CFS Brigade and community who are suffering this loss.
