STATEMENT To: All Media Issued: Monday, 11 August 2014 Attention : News Editors/ Transport Reporters / PR WIRES RTMC’s Bogus Advertisement of Traffic Officers Positions, Misleading Pretoria-The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), this afternoon discovered with great shock and disappointment, a bogus advertisement calling upon innocent and helpless South Africans, to apply for traffic officers positions. The RTMC management would like to put on record, that those advertised posts bearing our name doesn’t originate from us. The RTMC is an equal opportunity agency and advertisements will follow proper process. We request South Africans to ignore such information and its content. Every avenue will be investigated to get to the bottom of this insensitive behaviour and the culprits will be brought to book. We further advise the victims of this unfortunate and malicious incident to report the matter to the nearest police station.
