STEP OUT IN FAITH ... GODWINKS FOLLOW Cab driver Tom Chappell is late picking up a grumpy lady named Rita who fails to tip. He decides to win her over with kindness. Over the next few months every time Rita calls a cab, she gets Tom. He notices that the destination is always the same, “Southwest Kidney Dialysis.” She needs a kidney transplant. Tom decides to really use kindness ... he gets tested. To his and Rita’s surprise the doctor tells them, “If the match had been any closer you would have been siblings.” Despite his good intentions, an existing medical condition prevents him from giving Rita his kidney. However, a godwink happens when a woman sees the story on TV. She immediately makes the connection that they are talking about the father she had lost so long ago when her parents went through a difficult divorce. She calls Tom and he weeps with happiness. Father and daughter reunite after thirty years and Tom finds out he has three beautiful grandchildren.
