STOP BARGAINiNG WITH GOD TO SETTLE FOR LESS AND JUST OBEY! So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.” 18 Then Lot said to them, “Please, no, my lords! 19 Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die. 20 See now, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there ( is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.” 21 And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. 22 Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. Genesis 19:17-22 Hmmm...interesting! Most and many a times we try to bargain with God telling indirectly that, we know best. Lot found favour from the LORD in a city and it small towns (including Zoar) He intend to destroy. And the messengers (the angels) gave him a place to escape to the mountain (of Moab). But here is he bargaining with them to settle for the less city. Hmmm... Most of the times, in our areas of life like marriages - we tell God, Oh God, I like that man because he is tall, handsome, eloquent, rich and educated but God said, He is not my choice and I have better one for u, yet we proceed to settle for that (same as the men). In our jobs, we clearly hear God, send ur application to that bigger company that just came to ur city but we tell God anytime I dont have this, this, and that, in the our Churches, the funds that the Church or the pastor needs, you know very well that u can give that and God is speaking to u give that for a bigger promotion but yet u are always given excuses to yourself. JUST OBEY GOD IN ANY AREA U HEAR HIS DIRECTIONS, BECAUSE HE SEES YOUND WHAT U CAN SEE. Amen!
