Today has been a day of prayer and reflection. The floods here, in Detroit, have devastated and interrupted so many peoples lives. I pray God restores the material items people have lost. However, I pray God grants comfort to those families who lost a loved one due to the Metropolitan area wide flooding. Then, today, I learned of the death of one of my personal heros, mentors, and dads, Mr. Howard Johnson of Birmingham/Bessemer Alabama. Mr. Johnson was a life member of NFDMA, always ready with a kind word, a true friend, Pioneer of the industry, a historian, and an all around great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. He will truly be missed by anyone who was blessed to know him.
