STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! STOP! What are we teaching are children that every time a leader, public figure, civil servant or anybody does something wrong they should be fired and publicly humiliated? For God sakes let people learn from the mistake and correct the problems. Maybe they were truly not the cause in the first place. Yes, Freedom of speech is a right, but please don’t abuse that right! Is it really necessary to publicly castrate, hang and divulge peoples personal lives via Twitter, Facebook and comment boards. As a society if we keep acting like this we won’t be able to find people to lead or take on jobs in the public. And don’t tell me that they get paid enough for our right to publicly abuse them. Roger Godell did not cause Ray Rice to beat his wife. Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki did not make patients wait and die. Lovie Smith, Bucs Head Coach-that was a horrible embarrasement last night, but he inherited that team. What about the public servant who was using the American flag as a drop cloth. It was a mistake yes and he was reprimanded, but was it necessary to hold a public county commission meeting? Are the comments of Bill O’Rielly, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Rush Limbaugh really helpful or do they just cause political unrest? Every night I DVR ABC & NBC national news. Those 2 broadcast could not be any different, but one thing for sure they cause turmoil in America. Those “many Americans believe” repeated each night are really “many Media types are hyping.” I would challenge you to do the same or read the comments posted on twitter & Facebook each time a news story is posted.
