STOP the BLMS PLACITAS WILD HORSE ROUND-UPS!! CALL SENATOR UDALL! The BLM* came out to round up the Placitas horses TODAY! Advocates caught them at the west end and told them they could not. The BLM reps. replied: Yes we can! The BLM then took off to the east end of the BLM in Placitas where advocates got to the BLM there first! The horses realized they were in danger and took off!! Finally, the BLM then left for now! The BLM is trying to BLOCK due process. WHOA** is still in federal and state court. The BLM is trying to remove the horses so that the federal case will be MOOT! The BLM is also working to disenfrancise the PEOPLE of Placitas. An independent poll by Southwest Planning of Santa Fe recently showed that 85.7% of Placitans want the horses to remain! whoanm.org/wordpress/?p=275 The adjacent Pueblo of San Felipe has formally proposed to the NM federal representatives in Washington, and to the People of Placitas, to make a Wild Horse Sanctuary on the BLM lands and utilize them for tourism (GOOD FOR NEW MEXICO). This Pueblo has also declared these horses as wild, and NOT livestock and made an aboriginal claim on these lands. Certain individuals have dumped slaughter rejects on this Pueblo and then slammed them for skinny horses....dont fall for this!! All it takes is one federal Senator or Representative to go to one committee and talk for 1 hour the pros and cons so that San Felipe CAN get this land and these horses. It would take an ACT of Congress to STOP it after this notification proces.. All it takes is ONE call from Senator Udall to STOP all this maddness! There are 3000 people of the San Felipe Pueblo and 6000 people in Placitas and ALL stand to be disenfrancised, along with many other New Mexicans and others in the US! AND the horses! Senator Udall has so far refused to ask the BLM to stand down and allow the people their due process. He has also allowed the BLM to throw thousands of Placitan comments FOR the horses in the trash as OUT OF SCOPE!! Chillling our freedom of speech! Where is Udall for us ALL?!? Heinrich?
