STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART Do you have Real Faith? We’ll find that most people from time to time are trapped by fears and worries because we lack faith! Faith is based upon something that might not be visible to the naked eye but we realize that it is substantial and real. The Bible states that without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). This statement is profound and our success heavily depends on it. To strengthen our faith we feed our minds with truth which is the word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. The crucial issue in accomplishing great things to advance the kingdom of God is not the quantity of our faith, but the power of God. He says, If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, Be uprooted and be planted in the sea; and it would obey you.(Luke 17: 6) Do you have that Real faith to know that God is with you? That we can overcome sin and guilt? That we can be healed of all diseases? That we can endure severe trials and persecution? Or that God will deliver us from the enemy? Of course we can! In my estimation, the man who had the greatest faith of all times in God was Abraham. God told him that his offspring would be like sand on the seashore yet when God commanded Abraham to offer as a sacrifice his son Isaac who would be instrumental in providing future generations, he willing prepared to do so. (Genesis 22:5 and 22:8). After Isaac was bound to an altar, the angel of God stops Abraham at the last minute, saying now I know you fear God. At this point Abraham sees a ram caught in some nearby bushes and sacrificed the ram instead of Isaac. That’s real faith! We are tested in many ways but it is up to us to have that God kind of faith to overcome and know that when God promises us anything no matter what the circumstances appear to be, it will be done. He cannot lie. Just believe and see the salvation of our Father. Have a blessed day
