STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART Let us Live Every Day as if It’s Our Last It is my strong belief that we should all be a walking testimony for Jesus every day that we live on this planet. Christianity is for every day. We are His Sheep. He leads and we should follow. We can only be a part of the body that Christ died for, if we do what the Word of God instructed us to do to be saved. Not everyone who calls themselves Christians is truly following His instructions (I John 2:3-6). The Bible indicates that a true Christian is one who is a follower of Christ in all things. Those who are comfortable with less are not truly Gods children (I John 3:10). We have been given life but we do not know how long it will last. We could be taken away in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye therefore we cannot afford to take chances by not acknowledging that our final destination should be with God in heaven. The bible story about Lazarus, a beggar who sat at a rich man’s gate desiring food is proof that there is a heaven and a hell. Both men died and Lazarus was taken to Abraham’s side and the rich man went to hell. This man looked up from hell and saw Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom and requested Abraham to have mercy on him, and send Lazarus, to dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool his tongue for he was tormented in the flame. (Luke 16:19-31). Let us make our election sure and be reminded that only what we do for Christ will last forever. Therefore, let us live every day as if it’s our last. Have a blessed day.
