Basic shapes of wing chun: 1. Ton Sau 2. Bong Sau 3. Lap Sau 4. Pak Sau 5. Bil Sau 6. Jum Sau 7. Wu Sau Which coordinate into the 6 basic attacks of Chi Sao: (UNASSISTED ATTACKS) 1. Punch 2. Palm Strike 3. Huen Sau (assisted attacks) 4. Pak Sau 5. Lap Sau 6. por Jung Remember guys, the structure is important here. Without the proper formation of the 3 triangles, none of these work PERIOD. Unlike most systems, its not uncommon for a Wing Chun practitioner to spend a month to three months just learning the basic stance. Most people dont have to patience to commit to the system. We have an all-around system designed to teach TRADITIONAL Yip Man lineage Wing Chun Kung Fu. Iron Fist training, conditioning of the body, and extensive training in the proper way. Unlike most McDojos, we dont pump out black belts. If you manage to get to grade 1 of your Intermediate level, youre not going to be just another med level student. You WILL be able to adequately fend off anyone in any street situation, and be able to deal with MOST skilled fighters. Wing Chun trains reflexes, the mind takes .2895 seconds. While Bruce Lees punch, (which was formally a world record), was clocked at .30 seconds. So adjusting for Bruces unreal training, you can give or take what you will on punching speed. This however, still gives us a split second LITERALLY to decide how we will react. This is Wing Chuns bread and butter, training these reactions to learn to adjust and block these with ease, then simultaneously attack the opponent. How is this possible you ask? EXTENSIVE TRAINING. No different than any MMA fighter or Olympic athlete, we must commit to learning this. However unfortunately, most people are so eager to learn everything, punch, kick, block, etc...They miss all the technique and find a school that will give them there Black belt, and herein lies the problem with Wing Chun and McDojos. Unlike a karate system, if you do not learn the basics in Wing Chun, it will fail, you will get smashed every time, and even if you do complete your McDojo black belt. Any decent Chunger, will make you into a joke. We do not train black belts, we train combative, if you are lucky enough to walk out of our Wing Chun class with a Black belt, you are structurally sound, you have gained everything you need to make it your own. Wing Chun along with BJJ has and is still being utilized all over the world to train the military and police force. There is a reason why this stuff works guys, its not by chance and its not this high flying stuff you see in the movies, this is chinese boxing and is over 300 years old. You dont see great chungers in there 20s and rarely in there 30s unless training from a young age. This system was created for the weaker smaller person. Although uses the principal if your bigger than your opponent (taller, stronger), to use that to your advantage and power through. Wing Chun is truly a great system just often done by people with bad training, or no training time invested.
