STRIKE: THE RESULTS ARE IN: THE UNITED STEEL WORKER’S UNION has remained United in their stance on the resolutions put forth, as demands. Who is this Union you ask? This Union is all of us who pay Union dues to this Unity of solidarity. I am very pleased to see a group of fellow team-mates of the USWU (not canfor), band together in solidarity (means united) and stand strong to show the Big Billionaire’s club that they will simply have to stop being so damn stingy and open up their Big Boy purse strings and give a little. At the end of the day this money all comes back to them anyway. The way in which this happens is simple, the more we make, the more we have available to spend. Therefore if we spend more then the customer’s of this company that we work for will also reap the rewards in return. Eg, the car workers build cars but they live in houses, houses need reno’s, some build new houses with Canfor’s wood made by us. This raise comes full circle within a few months. Then the car worker’s go on strike and get a raise, so that they can get more money to build another house. Then the guys working in the oil industry get more jobs digging up more oil for all of us guys buying and driving these big gas guzzling vehicles and heating these big fat houses. The mechanics who have to fix all these crappy new throw-away vehicles have to fix all this new shit because we can’t, because we don’t know what anything is under the hood, because it’s all disguised in plastic. The smokers can afford to smoke more, the drinkers drink more and the obese to eat more, whereby shortening the length of time until their departure date. This gives the box makers more jobs sooner, quicker church donations and less of a burden on the social system. With more money for the government and less sickly older folks we should be able to get the retirement date set back to 65, due to more people being able to afford to kill themselves sooner with weird social behaviors, ‘tis all.
