STUDY TO KNOW 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. In Christianity, assumptions are not allowed. You must spend time to study the Word of God and know it for yourself. The more you study God’s Word, the more the Spirit of God imparts you with revelation knowledge. Revelation knowledge of God’s Word is so important. The reason God’s people are destroyed according to the Bible is that they lack revelation knowledge. You must make the Bible your closest companion. Spend time to study it. Listen to tapes and read Christian books that will help build your faith strong and catapult you to a higher realm of glory. One great advantage of having the Holy Spirit in your life is that He opens your heart to the Word of God and guides you to walk in the light of it. He’s your Teacher. As you cultivate a daily habit of studying the Word, the Holy Spirit will always be there to flood your spirit with revelation knowledge. That’s His responsibility. But you must be hungry for the Word of God; there must be a strong craving in your life to know God through His Word. The solution to all the problems that people are facing in their lives today is in the Word. All the counselling people require is in the Word of God. If only they would discipline themselves and give themselves to the study of the Scriptures their problems will be exchanged for solutions. There’s an abundance of wealth and wisdom that belong to you; but you have to study God’s Word to know about them. The Bible says, then shall we know if we follow on to know (Hosea 6:3)! You must follow on to know the truth of God’s Word; study to know your rights, privileges and inheritance in Christ so you can lay hold of them! F U RT H E R S T U DY: C O LOSSIANS 3:16
