STUNNING EVENTS FROM TONIGHTS CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEETING: For quite some time Chairman David O McKeon has been in violation of the governing documents of the party by operating without a budget. Pressed repeatedly to formulate and publicly disclose a proposed budget, Chairman McKeon has repeatedly refused and stonewalled. Tonight, at the Central Committee Meeting Rob Tyree courageously proposed a budget that reflects the very limited resources and fundraising conducted by the Chairman. The Chairman repeatedly attempted to use parliamentary maneuvers to keep the matter coming to a vote. Ultimately, a vote was held and it was declared that the balanced budget proposed by Rob Tyree was rejected, with many, including Michael Roberson voting against the balanced budget, leaving the Party without any operating budget whatsoever. Many (including myself) felt that the vote was not accurately counted. It is astounding that the Party which claims to be the advocate of financial responsibility would operate without a budget. Further, it is alarming that the County Party has only enough cash on hand to operate a couple of months. Yet, strangely, and nonsensically, Chairman McKeon solicits funds from Committee Members even though there is absolutely no budget or no demonstrated financial competence or responsibility. The Party is in really bad shape, folks. How hard is it to formulate a budget?
