STUPID NEWS A Guy Won the Eggnog Chugging Contest at His Company Party . . . and Wound Up in the Hospital For Three Days ______________________________________ Now that holiday party season is over, we can look back and say this definitively: THIS was the most humiliating thing anyone in the country did over the Christmas season. 33-year-old Ryan Roche of Lehi, Utah works for a home security company, and was at his company holiday party last month . . . where they held an EGGNOG CHUGGING contest. A $50 gift card to Ruths Chris Steak House was on the line, so naturally Ryan decided to enter. Ryan says, quote, I just opened up my throat, didnt even swallow. I pretty much poured it down. And he WON . . . drinking a quart of eggnog in just 12 seconds. But there was a problem. He was coughing a lot afterward, and later that night, he couldnt breathe. Turns out hed taken the eggnog into his LUNGS and caused a serious infection. He was hospitalized for three days with double lung pneumonia . . . and after 72 hours of being pumped full of oxygen and antibiotics, he finally started to pull through.
